Images: small, historic and weird, but all human

The indigenous people of America, the Lakota, marked their lives by drawing pictures of special events on calenders which are known as winter counts. The Flash site leads through the history and culture and explains who the Lakota were and how they lived. It has a very nice way of counterposing old photography with their original paintings.
