Sydney Harbour National Park provides a space where you can escape from the stress and hectic of the city. Large parts of the foreshores are protected from development. This park is the habitat for some creatures which have inhabited the Earth for millions of years. Elsewhere they are threatened by suburban animals, especially dogs and cats, and the machines which make the suburbs unpleasant places to live in, especially lawn mowers and the noisy machinery used by hobby workers in their "free time".
The Harbour has a lot of small beaches where swimming is quite pleasant surrounded by trees and shrubs which are full of parrots and other birds.
